The story behind the art: In a world where black women are herded into hardness, it’s time we reclaim our peace and our softness. In the words of Maxine Waters, “I’m reclaiming my time.”
This piece is inspired by my 40th birthday trip to Ivalo, Finland to see the aurora borealis and San Diego, CA.
